Responsibilities: 

The purpose of the Automated Client Execution desk is to manage and service all trading activity that needs to be segregated from the traditional principle market-making/trading desk. The aim to provide a fully automated transparent service to both internal and external clients of the bank. Ace Services will include:

  • Management of all Risk-Less trading Activity
  • Management of Automated Hedging Strategies for Sensitive order flow
  • Produce Execution/Liquidity analysis using analytical tools
  • Management of Sensitive Client Flow/Order Information

Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitoring and Operational Capacity, specifically book keeping and monitoring of trading books.

Responsibilities: 

The role will be in trading and will focus on market making, marketing and risk management of agency derivative book. Role will focus on derivative both from New Issue CMOs and secondary lists as well as generating trade idea for the desk. Examples of responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with current team to provide clients liquidity through market making to BNPP account base
  • Market making for New Issue CMOs and secondary derivative lists.
  • Interacting with BNP sales and clients in order to understand clients investment objectives and needs.
  • Evaluating the risk and opportunities for clients and the firm’s positions and strategy
  • Monitoring prepayment risk both within the book and within the broader markets
  • Monitoring prepayment performance of BNP’s propriatery prepayment model and working closely with the quant team on enhancing the model

Business Overview:

The Low Carbon Transition & Infrastructure Group (“the Group”), based in New York, is responsible for advising and delivering BNP Paribas’ full product suite for its clients as well as developing expertise across the energy and infrastructure sector. This includes low carbon transition (“LCT”) asset classes (e.g. renewables, CCUS, hydrogen, EV/EV charging, renewable fuels etc). This role will focus on Coverage of corporate and institutional clients that are highly active in the energy and infrastructure space. Responsibilities: 

  • Provide support to the SB in their regular marketing/calling program
  • Keep Senior Bankers (SB) & Marketing VP’s up to date on all developments (financial and otherwise) on the sector and the portfolio
  • Own the pitch book process in close coordination with product teams
  • Develop product understanding and expertise with product specialists
  • Act as the principal back-up of the SB & Marketing VP vis-à-vis clients, the business lines and other departments of the bank
  • Develop strong credit skills with a working market of regulated energy markets, including modeling skills that can adapt to rating agency criteria and corporate acquisition scenarios

Development of Sectorial Content and Expertise

  • Develop and maintain market update presentations (e.g. regulatory developments, macroeconomic trends / news)

Strategic Initiatives

  • Develop white papers on emerging LCT technologies and related market developments to deepen institutional knowledge for discussions around such unfamiliar risks (e.g. to inform risk evaluation framework for novel technologies and new market developments)
  • Structure and develop deliverables for global strategic initiatives (e.g. RDPCs, proposed new CSR policies), with SB guidance, for both domestic and international review
  • Scrub, source, and analyze internal / market data to support strategic dialogue
  • Project management on long-term strategic initiatives as needed

Reporting

  • Track LCT activity and progress (ongoing opportunities, revenues, client dialogue) in both NorthAm and LatAm, as applicable for clients of covered sub-sectors
  • Regular course upkeep / maintenance of client data in partnership with Client Development team (e.g. segmentation, ensuring data accuracy)
  • Maintain internal Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”) portal
  • Respond to ad hoc requests around reporting (e.g. specific sectors of focus etc) and coordinate amongst regional stakeholders (product partners, regions) as needed

Know Your Client (KYC) & Operations 

  • Project management of all client matters related to KYC, due diligence, Compliance, CSR etc
  • Coordinate onboarding and re-certifications for clients of the sub-sectors in the US Cultivate relationships with Due Diligence and Compliance teams domestically and abroad  
  • Act as a liaison for the SB between Corporate Client Implementation team, Due Diligence, CARD/Recertification, Compliance and CSR to enhance the level of execution for our clients

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 – 2 years’ with a top-tier financial services company, management rotational program, technology company, or management consulting firm
  • 2 – 4 years’ experience of knowledge in the North American markets
