Business Overview:

The Americas Head of Information Security is responsible for all aspects of information security and cyber security risks within the first line of defense (1LoD) in the Americas region for BNP Paribas within the Corporate & Institutional Banking and Asset Management perimeter. The Americas Head of Information Security is the Head of the Information Security Department and reports to AMER CIB ITO CCCO & AMER CISO.

The AMER CIB ITO CCCO & AMER CISO is responsible for building momentum and continue to strengthen and enhance the cybersecurity posture of the Americas platform.  As Americas CISO, the Managing Director is responsible for defining the cybersecurity strategy as well as for leading and driving the Technology & Information Security Risk Management for the Americas region, while ensuring alignment with Group and CIB strategy. As CIB Americas ITO CCCO, the Managing Directors responsibilities include: managing CIB Americas Information Security, Operational Resilience, IT & Cyber Governance Risk & Control (GRC) and ITO Operational & Permanent Control (OPC), Regulatory Controls, Records Management, Corporate & Physical Security and Business & IT Continuity. He will represent the Bank within these areas with the BNP Paribas USA Board, the US regulators and industry peers. Together with the Head of ITO Americas, the AMER CIB ITO CCCO & AMER CISO will continue to support the transformation and industrialization of the IT & Operations controls, conduct, and oversight framework.

Responsibilities: 

The Americas Head of Information Security:

  • Develops and maintains an Information Security Strategy for the Americas region, in alignment with local regulatory requirements and Group / Global expectations.
  • Provides regular updates to the Americas Board and/or other appropriate Board Committee on progress against the Information Security Strategy and key messages related to the department.
  • Provides strategic direction for Information Security department staff, in alignment with the Strategy and manages the Information Security Executive Committee encompassing: 

Identity Access Management, Cyber Defense Center, Application & Third-Party Security, Data Security, Cyber Transformation, as well as responsibilities for the Canada, SAR & Mexico Information Security Teams. 

  • Establishes and maintain strong working relationship with peers across the Group and Global organizations.
  • Leads discussions and examinations on Information Security with Americas regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure regulatory, management and head-office requirements are integrated in the Information Security budget exercise.
  • Champions efforts to achieve compliance against applicable regulatory and Group cyber requirements.
  • Develops local policies, standards, processes, plans and guidelines as needed in compliance with laws and regulations and align with information security objectives for the Bank. 
  • Oversees the implementation of controls and processes in the Information Security and other relevant departments, in order to protect the bank against ongoing information security threats.
  • Organizes and leads the Americas Cyber Steering Committee, the US Cyber Steering Committee, WHC/CIB Americas DLP Operating Committee, CIB Americas Cyber Operating Committee. Leads and contributes to the Information Security & IT Production Security Resource Forum.  
  • Oversees the Information Security Awareness Training Plan.
  • Coordinates with others to help ensure the resilience of critical information assets and systems.
  • Ability to assess and forecast talent requirements to meet organizational objectives. 
  • Understands the budget process. 
  • Assesses control gaps and recommends remediation which may include implementation of compensating controls.
  • Reports and tracks actions to address and/or mitigate open risks.
  • Deliver KPI and KRIs to provide transparent reporting on risks to RISK and other colleagues.
  • Participate in prep of table-top exercises related to information security.
  • Maintaining a relationship of trust with the business and provide clear transparency into costs.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this position must be able to: 

  • At least 15 years of relevant industry experience with a main focus within the Information Security space 
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering.

Role Description and purpose

The individual will join as part of the Official Institutions team and will have a variety of client servicing and business development responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Sales Support and Client Account Management

  • Support the Client Relationship Manager as a key point of contact for the Official Institution client base.

Responsibilities: 

  • Enforce BNP Paribas CIB NAR Procurement Front Office policies and best practices with strong focus on Corporate Services sourcing.

Responsibilities: 

Act as a Subject Matter Support Engineer for Voice/Video environment including CUCM, CUC, UCCX, IOS Voice Gateways, Oracle SBC, ECB, EOM and Video servers (VCS/Expressway), focusing on low level administration and change, product monitoring, technical support, and testing of Voice infrastructure.

Additionally, provide overarching support and integration of dealer board / turret technologies (IPC Unigy) and Audio/Video rooms and infrastructures. Supporting North and South American countries.

  • Deliver a range of Voice services including operations, administration, monitoring, controls, and Level 2/3 support for Voice platforms.

Responsibilities: 

The lead IT Business analyst/Project Manager drives the Requirement Analysis, Coordinate the Development of the initiatives together with the Global and Regional IT Development teams. Lead studies and facilitate the evolution of business processes, IT application systems and processes.  Facilitate the definition of Functional architecture, optimization of the workflows to increase efficiency and productivity for Global Banking Business and Operational platforms.

Business Overview:

As 2nd Line of Defense function and delegated by the Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”) Audit Committee, Sec Corp. Responsibilities: 

For this position, specific responsibilities will be to assess the organization for internal control of the various requirements for broker-dealer specific regulatory reporting. In addition to these responsibilities, she/he will be required to coordinate and contribute to the SEA 17a-5 and IHC ICFR FCG’s control programs and monitor the Control Framework to comply with U.S. local regulatory requirements.

Operationally, and as part of the Finance Control Group, for all aspects of control programs related to 17a-5 broker-dealer regulatory reporting requirements, key duties / elements of the work include the following:

  • Coordinate with U.S. local and oversea teams to execute control programs in accordance with SEA 17a-5 and COSO requirements.
  • Enhance the local regulatory control framework by assisting Broker Dealer & Global Market Operations teams to identify and document controls in place or to be implemented 
  • Perform risk assessment and identify key controls in accordance with the U.S. local regulatory requirements such as SEA 17a-5 and COSO control framework
  • Identifying key processes, risks, and controls surrounding ICFR, broker-dealer regulatory reporting
  • Performing walkthrough, reviewing risk and control matrices, and assessing control gaps, if any
  • Coordinating with other team members (including those from offshore testing center and other control units) and contributing to tests of controls, and assess and communicate control findings to managers
  • Identification of control weakness/control gap and suggestion/implementation of solutions
  • Coordination with Control / Process Owners, and other stakeholders regarding control documentation, testing, and evaluation.
  • Coordination with external auditors for both a reliance program, where FCG’s testing work papers are relied upon in lieu of detailed independent testing from the auditor, and streamlining information sharing to satisfy annual audit requirements
  • Contribute and involve in various projects and initiatives which FCG manages, including digital / innovation and other FCG’s workflows (such as, financial reporting, data, bank regulatory reporting).

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance degree
  • 10 years of experience in public accounting; big 4 experiences in banking and capital markets; or equivalent experience in an internal control team of an international financial institution.

The Leveraged Finance (“LF”) Group mandate is to provide financing for leveraged buy-outs, recapitalizations, corporate acquisitions and refinancings. LF is focused on originating, structuring, and leading non-investment grade debt financings for corporates and financial sponsors. 

The Leveraged Finance group is seeking a team player with excellent communication, process management, credit evaluation and analytical skills for the position of Vice President. The Vice President is primarily responsible for executing leveraged lead transactions (both high yield and leveraged loans, lead left and passive lead), managing the due diligence process with issuers and private equity clients, leading the internal deal team process as well as serving in a support capacity for the outbound marketing activity of the Senior Originators.   Additionally, the Vice President will be responsible for overseeing the production and content of materials for internal approval committees, for syndication purposes and for marketing efforts.   The Vice President will also provide instructions and learning opportunities regarding High Yield and syndicated loan products to analysts and associates.  The Vice President will participate in marketing activities, including making presentations to clients regarding leveraged financed products. The coverage territory is the Americas.  Lastly, the Vice President will get the opportunity to gradually focus on mutually agreed sectors to ensure consistency and sector expertise.

In this role, the Vice President must have a demonstrated knowledge of the syndicated loan and High Yield Bond markets and the corresponding products.  The Vice President must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.  They will be expected to act as the primary representative of Leveraged Finance team to internal constituents for the purposes of internal process approvals, in reviewing commitment papers and credit agreements and responding to questions from RISK officers and other constituents.  The VP will supervise the creation of financial forecast models and other credit analyses as well as the creation of power point presentations and act as an instructor for junior team members on the fundamentals of financial accounting and corporate finance.  This is a great opportunity to gain credit and marketing experience and exposure to all parts of the deal process for both the syndicated bank loan and the HY bond markets.

  • Ensure a deep & comprehensive client understanding incl. commercial activities with the Bank 
    • Maintain overall oversight of the client, such as strategy, financials, personnel changes, etc
