Responsibilities:
As an Associate, you will focus on sector marketing and execution across complex, cross-border transactions. This includes sell-side and buy-side M&A, corporate restricting and integrated capital markets solutions to Large Corporates & Sponsor clientele. You will work in close partnership with various Managing Directors, Directors and Vice Presidents to manage client relationships and deliverables
Key responsibilities include:
- Financial modelling & analysis: Build and review detailed financial models tailored to industrials clientele and valuation frameworks including merger modelling, DCF, LBO, public comparables and precedent transactions
- Client deliverable & strategic pitch materials: Create strategic and high-quality marketing materials for corporate and sponsor clients. Help prepare and contribute to deal pitches, including idea generation, research and analyze companies and industries
- Draft transaction documents: Drafting CIMs, management presentations and valuation materials
- Product partner coordination: Lead and/or support M&A, ECM and Leveraged Finance transactions, including coordinating across all parties involved. Establish effective working relationships and build credibility with internal constituents throughout the organization
- Sector content: Provide industry intelligence and competitive analysis for potential opportunities, and assist in scoping potential deals

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Role requirements: qualifications and experience

BNP Paribas is seeking a motivated analyst to join our Debt Syndicate team. The successful candidate will support the origination and execution of investment-grade syndicated loan and US private placement bond financings. You will work closely with relationship bankers, capital markets, legal and operations teams to deliver seamless financing solutions for our corporate and financial sponsor clients across the globe.
The US Private Placement (“USPP”) market is a subset of the global debt capital markets, built on a deep pool of predominantly illiquid fixed income capital. Because these securities are illiquid and generally held to maturity (buy‑and‑hold), they carry unique documentation and marketing requirements. The market attracts issuers from around the world, including corporates, infrastructure, renewables, REITs, aviation, and financial institutions. The US Private Placement team in New York has three dedicated professionals responsible for syndication and distribution of these transactions.
The IG Loan Syndicate team is part of the Corporate & Institutional Banking division of BNP Paribas and has responsibility for all investment grade loan underwriting decisions, with a focus on lead-arranged, active bookrunner roles. The team has executed as left-lead bookrunner deals amounting from sub $100 million to multi-billion dollar benchmark issuances for domestic and international issuers.
