Work Schedule: 9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent based on combination of education and experience) in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field and five (5) years of experience in Banking. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Business Manager in a Cross-Asset capacity, including work in Fixed Income, Equity Derivatives and Foreign Exchange Markets, along with direct work with Traders and their day-to-day operations; Project Management Capacity and leading projects through planning, testing, implementation and delivery stages; Knowledge of Financial Product including Fixed Income, Equity Derivatives and Foreign Exchange Markets. Responsibilities:
The COO Organization/Business Management team contributes directly to the business development and its sound operation. They also facilitate and optimize the interaction between the Front Office and its Business Partners. The Asset Finance & Securitization (AFS) Business Development Manager will be part of this COO Organization. He/she will report directly to the Head of AFS COO in Americas, and be part of the Global Banking Business Management team.
Whilst this role gets involved in all COO-related aspects required to support directly the Head of Asset Finance & Securitization, as well as Global Capital Markets management, he/she will be dedicated to new business development and working closely with the CCCO team to support the Transaction and New Activity validation (TAC / NAC) process on all transactions and activity / product related to AFS. . This role is a key enabler on developing Asset Finance and Securitization business to achieve its target and beyond.
His/her key responsibilities include:
- Support Asset Finance and Securitization leadership in the strategies and internal governance:
- Develop a thorough understanding of all activities withing AFS, market trends and competitive landscape.
- Contribute to the development and execution of business development projects partnering with senior team members and internal clients
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with internal clients
- Identify and lead all business development projects including Transaction and New Activity Validation (TAC / NAC) validation process for Asset Finance & Securitization:
- Assist management and project sponsors, help them to drive business development initiatives, ensuring that every required stakeholder (business lines, Finance, IT‑Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, etc.) is engaged at the appropriate stage.
- Lead, monitor, and coordinate all new‑activity AFS projects and initiatives from concept through implementation, maintaining clear timelines and deliverables.
- Own, follow-up and coordinate all AFS new activity projects and initiatives
- Own end‑to‑end product and service creation for AFS within the TAC / NAC framework: work closely with senior leads to draft the TAC/NAC memo, capture all workflow details, and secure feedback from Business, ITO, and supporting functions before the validation committees meet.
- Represent all activities within AFS on all new product development or transaction approval topics, providing subject‑matter expertise and ensuring consistent messaging across the organization.
- Proactively identify and track gaps, action items and closure of conditions raised during the TAC / NAC validation process; communicate any potential delays or issues to senior management and drive timely remediation.
- Promote when relevant the standardization of practices across GCMA and play an active role in sharing Best Practices within Global Banking.
- Ensure strong relationship with Business Partners: CCCO, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Credit, IT, Operations, Drive and Finance
- Design, implement and run relevant governance routines between Front Office and its Business Partners, so as to ensure seamless functioning, accountability and control across the value chain.
- Serve as an entry point to the Business Partners on all AFS TAC / NAC topics

- Proactively work with each of the business partners to close any conditions raised in TAC / NAC approval process

- Innovate new reporting metrics and analysis to help platform and leadership to better understand the activities and trends within their business

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a large bank or similar organization, of which min. 2 years in a COO/Business Management capacity and/or min. 2 years in Business Development/Project Management environment.
- Undergraduate degree required
- Project management skills with an outstanding track record of achievement.
- Experience in business strategy implementation.
- Demonstrated expertise in control framework implementation and remediation.
- Demonstrated ability to establish strong relationship with Front Office senior management

- Lead end-to-end deal execution and assist in the origination of new mandates
- Develop and implement structuring advice for clients during origination and execution phases

- Coordinate and oversee due diligence process and liaise with relevant consultants (legal, technical, environmental, insurance, tax, etc.

This position will support senior investment team members in sourcing, underwriting, and closing new investments and monitoring the performance of such investments including investment surveillance, processing borrower requests, and developing and executing appropriate resolution strategies for troubled assets.
Key Accountabilities
• Assist senior personnel in analysing, underwriting, and closing new loan opportunities and refinances of existing loans, including cash flow modelling and asset valuation.
• Maintain regular contact with loan servicer, borrowers, property level personnel, outside counsel, etc to monitor performance of assigned portfolio of existing investments including compliance with requirements of loan documents.
• Interface with Brokers/Borrowers and other market participants to keep up to date with current competitive lending parameters and overall market conditions.
• Review and understanding of underlying loan documentation; tenant leases, ground leases, easements and other documentation that impacts property cash flow and value; and borrower and guarantor financial statement review/analysis.
• Utilize available internal and external tools (e.g. market reports) to efficiently process transactions and make informed recommendations.
• Prepare and present recommendations for new investments.
• Conduct regular review of performance of existing investments including periodic re-underwriting, maintenance of “watchlists” and support of necessary investor reporting.
• Identify potential “risks” in assigned portfolio and support senior team members in developing and executing strategy to mitigate such risks.
• Coordinate with Brokers/Borrowers/Counsel/Closing Team to monitor loan closing status/closing checklist and update pipeline with status.
• Analyse and coordinate completion of various borrower requests including future loan draws, lease approvals, collateral releases, payoffs, etc..
• Monitor loan maturities and identify potential refinance opportunities or risks.
• Conduct physical inspections of loan collateral and prepare inspection reports.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses at the direction of the senior personnel.
Education/Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree with a concentration in real estate, finance, economics, business administration, accounting, urban planning or mathematics or real estate are preferred
• MBA or graduate of higher-level real estate program preferred, but not required
Experience
• 2 to 4 years of related finance and real estate experience
