The GMA Sales Internship Program is rotational – you will spend each half of your internship with two different global business lines (GBLs) and functional roles.

The Global Business Lines includes Global Credit, Global Equities, Global Macro- Equity Derivatives (EQD), Foreign Exchange, Local Markets, & Commodity Derivatives (FXLM.COMM), G10 Rates, Markets 360 (Research & Strategy), Primary Credit Markets (PCM), and Prime Solutions & Financing (PS&F).

The role will be Sales focused. The primary expectations of this job will be to analyze opportunities, produce research and market analysis and develop market commentary for internal and external distribution. The GMA COO and Transversal Internship Program in Chesterbrook, PA is rotational – you will have two rotations during the 10 weeks, each approximately 5 weeks long. There are a multitude of teams you could be placed on. Some of the potential groups include: 

• Business Management – this team contributes directly to the business development and its sound operation. It also facilitates and optimize the interaction between the Front Office and its Business Partners.
• Sales and Trading Support (SATA) – this team works directly with Sales and Trading to provide best in class pre and post trade execution to clients. The teams also act as the liaison between the Front Office and its Business Partners for trade related activities
• Electronic Client Solutions (ECS) – this team represents the backbone of BNP Paribas’s Electronic trading offerings and providing a single point of contact for Client queries for all our Electronic products and services. ECS supports Clients, ECNs and external counterparties, in conjunction with eSales and Voice sales teams, and is responsible for Client Onboarding, Client Support and vendor/account management across all our Ecommerce platforms
• Institutional Client Development (Client Dev) – this team in the Americas supports the growth of the client franchise and the execution of initiatives across the platform. Client Dev is organized around four pillars of focus: Market Intelligence to provide management with strategic analysis focused on benchmarking performance, Client Strategic Planning to improve results through effective identification and planning around priority accounts; Business Development to identify new growth opportunities and develop a strategic roadmap to implement initiatives and support Sales and FIC in execution and the Promotion of Tools to supporting the digitalization and adoption of tools and analytics and contribute to their development
• e-Commerce & Digital (e-C&D) – this team is a transversal department that drives the electronification and digitalization of our Global Markets division. Within the e-Commerce space, our focus is to manage the evolution and the enhancement of our electronic platforms to increase our footprint and create innovations for our clients and teams. We drive Digital transformation and are directly responsible for delivering new digital products and services
• Front Office Conduct & Surveillance (FOCS AMER) – this team is comprised of former Sales and Trading professionals across asset classes. Our aim is to proactively strengthen our controls within each business line to prevent potential misconduct that can adversely affect the bank and our clients.
• Operations Permanent Control (OPC) – this team is part of the Global Markets Americas Chief Conduct and Controls Office. The GMA OPC framework is a key component in the assessment and management of non-financial risks and implementation of the controls framework. Our goal is to be trusted risk managers for the desks, accomplished through expertise within our business lines (Global Equities, Global Macro, Global Credit, Deck and tech platforms)

BUSINESS OVERVIEW:

The RISK Function encompasses more than 400 professionals in the region (LatAm, Canada, San Francisco, New Jersey and New York) and its main mission is to protect the bank. Risk is involved in credit decisions, market risk limits supervising or operational risk. The function is located in the heart of the decision-making process and critical initiatives of the organization as well as the day-to-day of the Bank. The Risk function is broken into several departments / streams with a unique mission.

RISK MFI (Markets and Financial Institutions):

• Ensure high quality day-to-day management of all the market, counterparty and liquidity risks of Global Markets
• Advise Global Markets in a business minded but independent way on the quality of their risk taking and management
• Recommend to Senior and General Management the target risk profile of Institutional and Securities Services activities, in line with the Group target risk profile
• Manage the credit approval process and policies for Institutional clients

RISK Corporate (Credit Risk):

• Ensure transparency of material credit risks in decision-making

• Collateral and Treasury Forecasting & Liquidity Management (TFLM): Manages the operational aspects of margining various Global Market derivatives and repo activities
• Credit Middle Office: Blends a strong business focus while being driven by operational expertise, efficiency, and control
• Derivatives Execution & Clearing: Provides client solutions and clearing for commodity futures, options, and OTC products
• Projects & Change: Tasked with coordinating, facilitating, and driving both strategic and tactical project solutions across Operations

WHAT DOES A SUMMER 2026 INTERNSHIP WITH BNP PARIBAS LOOK LIKE?

Over 10 weeks, you will acquire in-depth insight into BNP Paribas and gain valuable and practical experience. Whichever area you are placed in, you will join a team of award-winning specialists in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Through the program, interns have a distinct opportunity to gain guidance from mentors and exposure to senior leaders within the Bank.

As an Intern, you will:

• Engage in an initial induction training that will set you up to succeed, and allow you to network with your intern class across all business divisions
• Complete technical projects and collaborate with colleagues across the Bank, gaining exposure to real work in order to identify your skills and explore where your interests align 
• Participate in weekly senior speaker events and roundtable discussions to gain a comprehensive understanding of financial markets and the industry
• Network with colleagues and learn about industry topics through workshops and speaker series, as well as through philanthropy and social events

COMPENSATION:

The annualized base salary for this position in Jersey City, NJ is $75,000.
