Business Overview:

The BNP Paribas FIC Advisory Americas team delivers strategic advisory services for clients across the FIC sector in the Americas. Services include assisting clients in raising funds in capital markets, strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financials transactions.

FIC Advisory Americas is a key contributor to the FIC Americas franchise and a critical hub for the Global FIC Advisory ambition with the mission to continue its win market share across the geographical corridors of Americas, Europe and APAC and develop a domestic presence in two main sectors: Insurance and Asset Management.

Responsibilities: 

The Director will be a Senior Corporate Financier in FIC Advisory Americas reporting to the Managing Director. This individual will work independently (and closely with a Managing Director) to drive both marketing and execution of M&A and Equity Capital Markets for FIC clients. The role involves business origination, and the Director is expected to develop his/her own client relationships over time. Additional overview: 

  • Significant levels of responsibility for various phases of origination and execution of transactions, including new business development
  • Work closely with client teams and senior stakeholders on M&A and capital raise transactions, including due diligence, drafting sessions and preparing models and presentation materials
  • Drafting analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, investor and management presentations alongside a team of analysts and associates
  • Relationship Building: Establish effective working relationships and build credibility with internal and external constituents

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field 
  • 10 + years of experience working in the financial services industry, specifically investment banking
  • Knowledge of the FIC sector (preference for Insurance, Asset Management or Wealth Management) – technical knowledge of all 5 main sub-sectors of Banking, Specialty Finance, Asset/Wealth Management, Insurance and Fintech. 
    • Ability to execute transactions in the sector to the highest professional standards

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong data management, research skills, analytical and quantitative skills. 
  • Strong financial modelling capabilities and in-depth knowledge of corporate finance theory 
  • Organized and solid interpersonal communication, both verbal and written skills. 
  • Team player, self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with the ability and willingness to guide, train, and develop more junior team members 
  • Detail oriented and reliable with a complete focus on quality results / deliverables 
  • Technical proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $260,000 to $290,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
