We have an excellent career opportunity for an Operations Analyst based in our New York office. The primary role of the Operations Analyst is to oversee post trade activities. This individual will serve as a primary contact for Portfolio Managers when any issues arise from the entering of the transaction into the accounting system to the settlement of the transaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between Portfolio Managers, BNP Securities Services, counterparties, and custodians when any issues arise on a transaction.
  • Ensure prompt settlement of equity, fixed income, and derivative (FX’s, swaps, futures, and repo) products.
  • Trade modifications.
  • Monitor OTC confirmations, sign and exercise of FX Options.
  • Manage the transaction life cycle of futures, ensuring proper give up and commission rates.
  • Review any transactions that are held up in compliance and determine proper course of action.
  • Work directly with business and technology teams to ensure supportability for front and back-office applications.
  • Constant review of Trade Support processes and ensure operational documentation is kept up to date.
  • Back up collateral management team when required.
  • Provide Ad Hoc support to Portfolio Managers and traders to resolve outstanding issues

Role requirements: qualifications & experience

  • 0 -2 years of relevant work experience, prior experience in financial services preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Intellectually curious with a passion for financial markets and investments.

Physical presence in office is an essential function of this position. This role has the flexibility of being hybrid, consisting of an in office and remote working component.

The expected starting salary range for this position in New York City is between $75,000 to $85,000 annually. Actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
